Michael Lee

Hello and welcome to Murray Middle School!  I am Mr. Lee and I will be teaching 6th grade Mathematics. I was born and raised in Saint Paul and I graduated from Harding Senior High School, so I am very proud to give back to the community.  This will be my tenth year teaching mathematics in the middle school setting.
 
I am married and my wife is an English Language Learner teacher also in Saint Paul Public Schools.  Together we have 4 children who keeps me super busy.  Jordan Lee (8 years old), Michaela Lee (6 years old), Madison Lee (3 years old), and Jeremy Lee (1 year old).   We also have a Black Labador Retriever who is 3 years old and her name is Missy.

In 2011, I graduated from Saint John's University with a major in education.  in 2015, I graduated in my Masters program in Differentiation at Concordia University St. Paul.  I love learning and teaching math.  I believe every child has the ability to learn and as educators; we have to give them the chance and opportunity to learn. 

 In my spare time I like to play basketball, football, and softball.  During summer break, I enjoy camping whether it's out in the hot, mosquito-infested woods with tents, or in the cabins.  I love fishing and hunting.  I am a huge Vikings fan and am excited to see Vikings play this year.  My favorite all-time NBA players are Michael Jordan and Dwayne Wade.
