Welcome to 7th Grade Math and Personal Finance! I am Mr. Gravert, and I am thrilled to be a part of the Murray Middle School community here in Saint Paul Public Schools.

I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Middle School Education. My teaching career began in Iowa, where I taught for three years before moving to the Twin Cities in 2021. After spending two years in grocery management—where I gained valuable real-world experience in leadership, budgeting, and operations—I returned to my true passion in the classroom when I joined the Murray team in 2023.

In the Classroom & On the Field

• 7th Grade Math: Building strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and mathematical confidence.

• Personal Finance: Empowering students with real-world financial literacy using the Next Gen Personal Finance Middle School Curriculum. My goal is to give students the foundational tools they need to make smart, informed financial decisions as they head into young adulthood.

• Athletics: Proudly coaching Murray's girls' soccer, basketball, and softball teams.

Outside of school, I love staying active by playing recreational sports, spending quality time building community, and unwinding with my favorite sitcoms.
