Ms. Engelstad

My name is Lisa Engelstad and I am I will be working primarily with students with the last names of M-Z in grades 6-8.

I have been a School Counselor in St. Paul for 19 years. My experiences include elementary, middle and high school counseling. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls with a Bachelors degree in Psychology and then went on to obtain my Masters degree in School Counseling at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls as well. Additionally, I feel that professional development is critical and have obtained certificates in Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Bullying Prevention. As a result of the passage of the Safe and Supportive Schools Act in April of 2014, i participated as a member of the School and Safety Technical Assistance Council from 2014-2019.

I enjoy helping students navigate through the middle school years. I work with students on a variety of issues including following our Murray values of being respectful, responsible, and safe. Some topics I work with students on include friendship, grief and loss, LGBTQ+, new student support/transition, social skill building, anger management, self-regulation, academic support, self-image, self-confidence and more.

If you have concerns regarding your child, please don't hesitate to reach out. Below is my contact information:
