WELCOME to Math 2008-2009!  My name is Mr. Svenson, and this year I am teaching Algebra 1 and Geometry. Math is an important language that is used in every part of our world today.  Skills learned in Math can be helpful in other classes and throughout life.

Beginning my sixteenth year at Murray Junior High, I earned my bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Bethel University.  I believe that Murray is the best junior high/middle school in St. Paul. My wife and three children (grades 6 – college freshman) support me in my work.  They are great sources of encouragement to me.

Math is challenging –- yes, it can be difficult!
Math is exciting –- your attitude is important!
Math is fun –- you can succeed!
