| WELCOME to the Murray Parent Assocation (MPA)!
2008 Grants Awarded
Murray Junior High School has a long-standing reputation for having great parent and guardian support. When your child attends Murray, you are automatically a member of Murray's parent group called the Murray Parent Association (MPA). But, for MPA to be successful, we need your commitment to help with, and attend, the many activities which make up our school year.
"Parents and guardians who are connected to their child's school find that their child experiences more success in school." So, stay involved with your child's education!
Communication and support are important at Murray. Our parents and guardians do this in many ways.
- Offering helpful forums in the evenings for families that have questions about their child's social and academic growth in the junior high community. -
- Fundraising: Spiritwear (i.e. Sweatshirt & T-shirt sales) and Book sales.
- Making a cash donation to MPA to support school events and functions.
- Coordinating a variety of events throughout the school year to build a stronger learning community.
Ways the school's mission is accomplished is through the school newsletter, the ParentLink telephone message system and conferences. MPA supports all of these with efforts with volunteers and funds. This is why your contribution (of time, talent and financial resources) is so important.
Please consider offering your time this year to support your child at Murray Junior High School. Any small contribution can make our school a better place for everyone. Just one or two hours during this school year will have a great impact!
