Believe*Achieve Tutoring is a program committed to increasing student ability in math, reading, and writing by working one on one with students or in small groups. The program combines external resources of the community and Saint Paul Public Schools Foundation with the curriculum at Murray to provide students additional opportunities for success.
The Believe*Achieve Tutoring Program aims to serve students who lie right at proficiency or slightly below it (Tier 2) for math, reading and writing. Tutors provide out of class support (push in or pull out style) at Murray throughout the school day from 8am to 2pm.
All tutors at Murray are volunteers that may work or study in or around Saint Paul. Each tutor receives required training in Saint Paul Public Schools curriculum as well as opportunities to attend other trainings on content and student behavior/ youth development. Tutors work with teachers to provide students additional and appropriate support aligned with material being learned in their classes.
Interested in involving your student with the Believe*Achieve tutoring program, or interested in becoming a tutor yourself?
