 | | Ms. Dooley | Hi! My name is Erin Dooley and I’m happy to be back for another year at Murray Junior High this year. I will be teaching Life Science and Magnet Science I. I will also be coaching the Science Quiz Bowl team for the second year. I’m looking forward to engaging the students in lots of experiments, investigations, research, and applied science in the “real world.” If you want more information about the courses that I teach, click on one of the links at the right.
This is my third year at Murray and tenth year in St. Paul Schools. My first seven years were at Monroe K-8. Before joining St. Paul, I taught briefly at schools in Minneapolis and Kentucky. Before teaching, I worked for several years as an environmental scientist. Teaching, especially at the junior high level, is the most rewarding job that I have ever had.
I’m originally from Minneapolis, but my family and I have lived in St. Paul for many years. In my “off time,” I enjoy cooking, hiking, bicycling, reading, knitting, camping, fishing, and travel.
My educational background: BA in Biology from the U of M, Teaching Licensure program at Augsburg College, Minneapolis, MS in Science with Emphasis on Science Education from Bemidji State. I will also be finishing my administrative license courses at Hamline this year.

Let's make it the best year ever.
