Peggy Gamache

My name is Peggy Gamache and I am the full-time teacher/librarian at Murray Jr. High. I am married and have one daughter. My hobbies are gardening, quilting and cooking. 

My affiliation with the St. Paul Public Schools (SPPS) dates back to 1955 when I entered kindergarten at Como Elementary School.  I attended Como Junior High and Washington Senior High School, graduating in 1968.  My student teaching experience was in a SPPS classroom, as was my first teaching assignment. 

After all these years with SPPS, I feel a great sense of pride in the work done by my colleagues throughout the system.  I enjoy working with your children.  I look forward to helping them achieve and grow while they are students are Murray JHS.

I truly believe that we should never stop learning.  I fact, if I had to sum up my philosophy of education I would quote Robert M. Hutchins;

 "The object of education is to prepare the young to educate themselves throughout their lives."
